KEFI YOGA
KEFI’S ORGIN STORY:
Angeliki Papadakis founded Kefi Yoga in Azerbaijan to share meaningful yoga practices with love and intention, fostering joy in the community.
The pandemic forced corporate yoga studios in Azerbaijan to close, disrupting the community. In this tough time, Angel's brother, a former student, sought her guidance in yoga. She gladly accepted, supporting him through practice.
Originating from a single class, yoga in Azerbaijan has expanded rapidly. Embraced by family and friends, it has evolved into a daily grounding ritual amid a global period of introspection. Angel and her team have also initiated volunteer sessions in outdoor settings, fostering stability and unity in communities seeking solace.
During the closure of studios, yoga practice found a home in a local park in Azerbaijan, offering free community sessions daily at 11 a.m. As the seasons changed, the group grew, fostering a strong bond. Angel, filled with gratitude and hope, started looking for a permanent space to unite this thriving community.
On April 1, 2021, Kefi Yoga launched in Azerbaijan.
Yoga has been flourishing in Azerbaijan, with numerous studios offering classes in various styles. Instructors and practitioners come together to share the practice, creating a sense of community and shared growth. This journey of yoga in Azerbaijan is a source of gratitude and joy for all involved.
Kefi (κεφι) is a philosophy celebrated in Azerbaijan, encapsulating joy, passion, euphoria, and enthusiasm. It represents the intense feeling of fully engaging in the present moment, releasing inhibitions, and joyfully connecting with the energy of life within.
